
"Around the time that I turned 40 I started thinking that I wanted to do something positive for my health to make sure that I continued to be healthy and active. I particularly wanted to increase my energy, strength, and also minimise my risk of osteoporosis in later life. I had joined gyms before but had never had much success in terms of getting results or staying motivated - the generic programs were uninspiring, and I know that I never tried that hard when it was only me pushing myself.
When I saw that Achieve was opening, I thought I would give them a try, as I really didn't want to waste another gym membership fee with the inevitable end result.
That was 2 years ago, and I have been a regular and happy client at Achieve. I find the flexibility that I have in terms of timing of training is invaluable, and building up a relationship with your trainer allows you to maximise your training in a way that you would never be able to if you were not getting that personal attention. I feel stronger, fitter and healthier, and feel that I am more positive as a person. I am enjoying the training and it has had a flow on effect that I am generally more active and able to keep up with my young son! I have recently started the Spin Classes and they are a lot of fun and a great way to efficiently exercise and focus on cardio.
The team are all friendly, approachable, and not in any way intimidating, and I would definitely recommend Achieve"

"I've loved training with you guys over the past 12 months and have made some wonderful friends and achieved some amazing goals along the way.
I've especially loved my time with Grant and Michelle...they are two very beautiful people, fantastic PT's and whom I'd be happy to call friends. To be able to put up with me every Wednesday and Friday mornings at 5am is a challenge in itself. I've seen the kg's slowly come off, the body fat% drop and my many injuries start to mend. There's still a long way to go yet though, so no slacking off for me!

"I felt so unfit, unhealthy and fat. So, I tried to get back into exercise late last year. I tried the gym and walking, but nothing worked. Then I discovered Achieve Personal Training. I joined up to do the unlimited classes, and started with boxing. In the end, I was doing all the classes - the boxing, abs, outdoor and indoor circuits. I was having so much fun and was losing weight!! My friends and family noticed how fit I was becoming, which only spurred me on.
They pushed us so hard, we often felt sick at the end of the session! But, it was so worth it and we noticed a big difference.
I then enrolled in boot camp. It rained everyday and was freezing, but I kept going and found that I was becoming fitter and felt so much better.

"Like a lot of people I have been on a diet and exercise roller coaster all my life. I was a great starter and finisher but the most important part was sticking to a plan long enough to achieve results. Now I understand that diets “don’t work” and paying for a gym membership and hardly attending won’t either. I have also learnt that when I exercised by myself I wasn’t pushing myself hard enough to be productive. What I gained from Achieve Personal Training was continued support and encouragement and someone to educate and guide me in this area.
I started training with Achieve approximately two years ago at the age of 40. I was overweight and unfit and worked in a sedentary job. Being an older person I was very much aware of the need to keep mobile - “move it or lose it” as they say. The best investment I made to myself and my future was to contact Achieve and get started. Having a personal trainer commits you to exercise consistently. Making time to exercise and having someone encouraging waiting for you is a great motivator. This is the longest I have ever stuck to a program and I have Achieve to thank for that.
I am proud of myself and will continue with my personal training sessions. I can see results and I look and feel so much better. I also know I am doing something positive to improve my health and self esteem. I have learnt it is never too late to invest in yourself and your future. "My name is Melissa and I'm the former queen of "I'LL START TOMORROW." I'm sure there are others out there who have been here at one stage of their lives, whether it be:
- I've eaten so much bad stuff today there is really no point in having something healthy now.

The list of excuses is endless, but ultimately YOU LOSE!
I've been fighting this battle my whole life. I've always been big and have struggled constantly with diets and exercise and weight which has been steadily increasing over the years. As a result my health deteriorated, my energy levels were virtually non existent and I had to really fight to keep up with a demanding role in the Director-General's office of the Queensland Government.
Battling constant fatigue and illness, I knew I had to make some major life style changes. So I started personal training and changed my eating habits.
I've now been training with Achieve for eight months and I feel fantastic. I have more stamina and energy and have a new lease on life.
I'd be lying to you if I said that personal training is easy but it is very worthwhile. Not only have I seen the changes with my own two eyes but I feel fit and fabulous which has boosted my confidence levels.
I can do things now which I never would have even attempted eight months. On holiday in New Zealand two years ago I had my first solo attempt kayaking. Because I had no upper body strength, I really struggled finishing the five kilometre trip. Now, I can't wait to try it again.
