Live it up and have fun!

Hey hey… I’m Steve, one of the Personal Trainers here at AchievePT. Feeling fit and knowing that I’m eating a healthy balanced diet and getting enough exercise to keep me in shape is at the top of my ‘things to do list’ everyday. From as far back as I can remember, when I was just a wee young kid I’ve always had a passion for riding bikes. This passion for two wheel action has kept me fit and entertained for the last, I’d say, 20 years.

Growing up I’ve played Club Soccer, Club Baseball, Represented my primary school in athletics, Represented my high school in Athletics, Hockey, Baseball, Soccer, Rugby League and Squash. I was also a competing Ice Figure Skater from the age of 8-13, so I know all about getting up before the sun and exercising before school or work. I’ve played my fair share of sports and had success in most areas of them but I always come back to my one true passion, which is Mountain Biking…

I recently placed 2nd overall in the Queensland Sunshine Series Downhill Competition. That has been my biggest and most rewarding sporting achievement to date. I put my success down to the fact that I trained with a personal trainer for the year leading up to the competition and got the results that I was trying to attain. I trained hard every day working out 6 days a week and eating 6 meals a day. This wasn’t easy, but I had support from my trainer and set goals. Protein supplementation and a creatine recovery stack helped me to recover faster between workouts and train harder for longer. It helped build stronger, bigger muscles which meant I could produce more speed and power and last for longer when training and riding.

As a personal trainer I want to see my clients achieve their personal fitness goals whatever they may be, weight loss, toning, sport conditioning and power improvements, strength gains, cardiovascular endurance, muscle mass increases and general health improvement’s for a better quality of life.

Here at AchievePT I am given the opportunity to share my love for fitness and my compassion for people who are serious about their health and fitness and help them to achieve their goals.
