Sport & fitness has always been my passion!

Hey There!

My name is Dave and I’m a personal trainer at Achieve Supplements and Personal Training! I want to tell you a little bit about my fitness and sporting background.

As a young lad I always had a cricket bat, football, tennis racquet, tennis ball or any sort of equipment that involved sports in my hand. I played a heap of tennis and cricket between the age of 7 – 12 making various rep teams in both sports throughout that time. Cricket I enjoyed purely because it was a team sport and I love team work and bonds you can make when involved in a team sport. Tennis is what really started the competitive side of me, I hate getting beaten in anything I do!

It was the mixture of those two sports, which helped me discover the one sport I am most passionate about. When I was 12 my mum and dad decided to get memberships at the Brisbane Bears (now the Brisbane Lions). I instantly fell in love with the AFL and signed on to the local junior football club.

Since then I have never looked back, I started playing senior football at Morningside Football club in 2001 when I was 17 years old. In 2006 I was approached by a Victorian country football club, a small town on the Murry river called Barooga is where I decided to call home for the next two years. I moved down with my best mate and had an absolute ball down in the bush. In 2007 the mighty Barooga Hawks made the grand final which I was fortunate enough to play in. It was an awesome day to be involved in, ten thousand country football fans surrounded the ground and the atmosphere amazing! Unfortunately we didn’t come through with the cup but we still had a few great following day to celebrate the season.

Sport and fitness has always been a great passion of mine, I’m now settled back in Brisbane back playing for the Morningside and extremely excited about what the future holds for myself and the Achieve Personal Training team. It’s a great working environment here at Achieve and I’m looking forward to helping people in our community reach their personal fitness goal.
